Kilometers of fabric
The artists of Cirque du Soleil are very talented - there's no doubt about that.
But their performances wouldn't be as stunning as they are without the costumes which are
a big part of the shows. All of them are made in Montreal - Cirque du Soleil Headquatres. New artists have their costume fitting done there with a body scanner that generates all the measurements. But even though the technology that they use is at a very high level, the costumes are still mostly handmade. All of the repairs or rearrangements are done in the workshops that travel with the shows. And here's an interesting fact: each year the costume department uses more than 65 kilometers of fabric from all around the world.

It would be interesting to know what these costumes are and why do they need so much fabric. You still have quite a few words at your disposal before you reach the word limit
