O
'O' is a truly unique show of Cirque do Soleil inspired by the infinity and elegance of water. The most obvious feature is that the stage is, in fact, a pool with 1.5 gallons of water that can be covered so that there's no trace of the pool underneath. The show combines choreography in the air and on the water that is done by acrobats, synchronized swimmers and divers. Everyone on 'O' has PADI's scuba certification - they all go through a training. There are 122 technicians that are working with circus artists - for example, the divers help them to orientate in water and find the oxygen masks. The whole show could be referred to as a "choreographed dance" because the artists and technicians have to know where they should be or what they are supposed to do only by listening to the music, which is played even under water.
