Does school prepare us for real life?

School prepares us for real life but only in some ways.  It helps us interact and cooperate with others - teamwork is a difficult task but it also is inevitable, be it at school or in work. In adult life meeting deadlines is an important skill, which school teaches us, in form of assignments or sometimes overlapping tests. Getting in the habit of being on time or attending school regularly will prevent us from getting fired for skipping work or simply being late. On the other hand, there are things that school doesn't teach us such as creative thinking or originality.  All in all, school plays quite an important role in preparing students for real life.

  1. Good to know that not all the time spent at school is entirely wasted.

  2. I agree that school is preparing us for real life by teaching us interaction with others and punctuality. I also think that putting a lot of effort into studying makes our adult lives a little bit easier.
