Music in circus

Even though while watching performances of Cirque du Soleil your attention is only centered on the artists themselves, you should let your mind also focus on the music - it is another significant factor that plays an enormous role in making the act whole. The soundtracks made for each show reflect their theme and help transport the audience to completely different world. The music is done live, so musicians and singers have to be ready to adjust the tempo or even improvise to match the pace of the performing artists. In Cirque du Soleil they are looking for keyboard, percussion, wind or stringed instruments but they are also open to any other musical specialties. Some of the singers are expected to face big challenges, for example, female vocalists are sometimes asked to fly over a stage, while male singers have to be prepared to walk on stilts.

It can't be easy to find a singer or a musician who would be able (and prepared) to do the incredible stunts they perform on top of singing or playing. They seem to be completely different skills.
OdpowiedzUsuńHi! I wonder if I can be a part of the musicians in Cirque du Solei. I've played the piano for 5 years now so I think I'm the person who they are looking for! Write me back! By the way, a very nice post!
OdpowiedzUsuńIf you are ready to fly over the stage and you're not afraid of challenges then why not! But remember; Education first!!!!! Thanks for commenting!

UsuńI've been preparing 10 years to fly, play the piano and sing in the same time so don't worry! I'm ready to conquer the world! Cirque du Solei, I'm coming!
OdpowiedzUsuńI'm not worried about that, in fact I'm concerned about our history notes that we were supposed to do ... right now.
