Today I watched a film about why all of the Disney princesses look like babies. In the earliest movies, all of the princesses looked more or less like adult women but as time went on their head started to get bigger compared to their bodies as did their eyes. It is the same with all Disney characters - they all aged in reverse. A biologist speculated that this features - big heads and eyes - trigger an instinct to give love and attention in adult mammals and Disney is using that to make the audience connect more with the character.
